This was an impressive book for a debut, and I enjoyed it a lot. At some points, perhaps especially at the academy and in all the interactions with Natasha, the pages just flew. It was a book with no lack of action, clever characters, and an exciting adventure. Colin grew on me through the story, and it will be exciting to see what new missions await him.The only reason it doesn't hit five stars from me is probably personal preferences. I think many people will enjoy this book as an exciting page turner and for following great characters, and I definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes the academy/spy setting.

About The Author

Having written since he was in kindergarten, Nathan Reid-Welford has always had a creative mind. In late elementary school, he became heavily influenced by the action and spy genre and its incorporation into Young Adult fiction, such as the Alex Rider and Young Bond series', as well as The Bourne Identity and Mission Impossible books/movies. Nathan then embarked on a writing journey that would become his debut novel: Colin Harris: The Game of Wits.

The first in a planned series (which he is currently working on), Nathan has many ideas and aspirations for subsequent Colin Harris novels as well as action adventure, dystopian, and coming of age books.

Seeking to blend themes from various genres, Nathan strives to create characters that are realistic, while also being unique and intriguing, and writing stories that help readers to think critically and introspectively about themselves, their experiences, and the world.

Raised north of Toronto, Nathan published his first novel while completing his Bachelor's, studying English - Writing, Business - Marketing, and History at Redeemer University in Ancaster, Ontario, near Hamilton.

Beyond writing books, Nathan is a musician and songwriter, having released music under his solo project, Soul Proprietor. He enjoys a wide array of music from pop punk, to rock, metal, and country.

Nathan also enjoys travelling—having visited much of Western Europe while living and working in Bristol, England for a year—playing sports, and reading. Some of his favourite authors are: Ian Fleming, Anthony Horowitz, Lee Child, Thomas Hardy, John Steinback, Charles Dickens, and George Orwell.
